Pirate Timing LLC is a dream of Woody Barnett who served 36 years as a highly successfully track & field / cross country coach and athletic administrator in the Pearl School District.  Barnett currently continues to serve as the State Cross Country and Track & Field Meet Director for the Mississippi High School Activities Association.  In 2005 under Barnett’s supervision, Pearl High School completed a state-of-the-art track & field facility.  This facility is the home of the MHSAA State Track & Field Championships.

Barnett’s passion for the sports of track & field and cross country is known throughout the state of Mississippi.  “I love track & field and cross country and I am now looking forward to helping others in any way I can to promote these sports.  By helping others become better meet managers these sports will gain more respect and hopefully produce meets that are more efficient and more enjoyable for athletes, coaches, officials and spectators alike!  Let me put my knowledge and experience to work for you and your program!”
